Mac users have mixed feelings about Spotlight, but I’ve found this to be a great way to clean up and save time. Press ‘cmd + space bar’ to instantly open Spotlight. From here you can search for and open any application. This means you never have to take your hands off of the keyboard. If you are like me and fill your Dock with apps that you frequently use, now you can clean up your dock a bit.
Another timesaver is that Spotlight can perform calculations. Instead of opening the calculator app you can just type your expression into Spotlight and it will give you the answer!
